SUNY Erie

A.S. Engineering Science

Program Description

The Engineering Science Program at Erie Community College is an alternative to the first two years of a baccalaureate engineering program at a large four-year university. Classes at the North Campus are small and, in this intimate setting, learning is greatly enhanced. The personal attention, small classes and continual guidance are important factors in students’ success at ECC. This two-year Engineering Science Program is designed to qualify students for transfer to a four-year engineering program.

The Engineering Science curriculum includes courses in English, social science, advanced mathematics, physics and chemistry. Within this program, students will also take certain prescribed engineering courses and elect others, depending on the requirements of the four-year engineering school of their choice. These required courses have been designed to facilitate transfer to baccalaureate engineering programs.
